ORDER

The criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to withdraw the Lookout Circular issued against the petitioner in connection with Crime No.11 of 2012 on the file of first respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. On a complaint given by one Lakshmi Lavanya, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.11 of 2012 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

against the petitioner herein for offences under Sections 498 (A), 406 and 417 IPC and after completing the investigation, the respondent police filed a final report in C.C.No.1165 of 2013 before the XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

4. During the course of investigation, it appears that the respondent police have issued a Lookout Circular to prevent the petitioner from leaving India. The trial in C.C.No.1165 of 2013 had been completed and the petitioner was acquitted by the trial Court on 01.08.2015, despite which the Lookout Circular appears to be subsisting. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to withdraw the Lookout Circular in Cr.No.11 of 2012 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
