Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to call for the records concern in M.C.No.1 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, Vellore District and Quashed all further proceedings therein as against the petitioners herein.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to call for the records concern in M.C.No.1 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, Vellore District and Quashed all further proceedings therein as against the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the A1/husband of the respondent already died. Hence, he sought for quashment of the proceedings against the in-laws of the respondent in M.C.No.1 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, Vellore District and also to quash all further proceedings therein as against the petitioners herein.

3. In view of the above, this Court is of the view that husband of the first respondent already died and therefore no purpose would be served if the above case is proceeded against the petitioners who are in-laws of the respondent. Hence, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings in M.C.No.1 of 2014 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, Vellore District as such the prayer sought for in this petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
