The Petitioner along with 19 other persons filed O.A. No.5806 of 2002 seeking for an order for upgrading the post of Sections Officers held by them as Under Secretaries from the date of their junior was upgraded as Under Secretary, in the Revenue Department under one unit w.e.f. 29.05.1998 with consequential and all other attendant benefits pursuant to G.O.Ms.No.126 P and AR (U.Special) Department, dated 29.05.1998, as amended in Letter No.34123/W/98-2 of P.& A4 (W) Department, dated 31.8.1998, on being transferred to this Court as Writ Petition No.11866 of 2007, is taken up today.

2. Mr. R. Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, placing on record Lr. No. 46388/U.Spl./2014-1 dated 19.01.2015 and the G.O.Ms. No. 171 Personnel and Administrative Reforms (U-Spl.) Department dated 28.09.2006 submitted that the prayer of the petitioners have become infructuous since all of them have been upgraded as prayed for.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, on receipt of copy of the proceedings requested this Court to record the said statement of learned Additional Government Pleader and close the case.

4. The said letter and Government Order are placed on record. In view of the above, the Writ Petition has become infructuous. No costs.
