PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for records in Crime No.66 of 2013 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.66 of 2013, on the file of the 1st respondent police.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the parties have entered into a compromise and have filed a memorandum of compromise to that effect. The relevant portion of the memorandum of compromise is extracted hereunder: "The parties have reached an understanding and in the presence of well wishers the disputes have been compromised and settled.

Pursuant to that, party of the second part, today conveyed his share of 1764 sq.ft., in the schedule property in favour of the first party, vide sale deed No.7495 of 2016 on the file of the SRO, Thiruvallur.

As a consequence, the party of the first part hereby consents for the matter to be compromised and settled and to be reported before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras in Crl.O.P.No.1072 of 2014. He further agrees to do all required acts on his part, in future, to close the matter smoothly and discharge the parties of second part from all the civil and criminal liabilities.

The Crime No.66/2013 on the file of the Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Thiruvallur, which may be closed as settled out of Court.

The complaint before the Bar Council of Tamilnadu in D.C.7 of 2015 filed by the party of First part against Advocate Mrs.R.Tamil Selvi shall not be pursued further."

The 2nd respondent/defacto complainant also filed an affidavit stating that they have resolved their issues and arrived at a compromise. Such statement is recorded.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed The memorandum of Comprise shall form part of the order.
