..Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2014 in regard to payment of cashless health care coverage under the New Health Insurance Scheme 2012 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner, while working as Assistant Surgeon in the Government Primary Health Centre, lost control of his car and got involved in an accident and consequently sustained multiple injuries and he was admitted as an Inpatient in Ganga Medical Centre, Coimbatore and underwent plastic surgery and spent a sum of Rs.,1,14,787/-. The petitioner is also a member of New Health Insurance Scheme2012 and an Identity Card under the said scheme is yet to be issued to the petitioner. A sum of Rs.150/- per month is also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
deducted towards Health Insurance Scheme and as such, he is entitled to reimbursement of the medical expenses. The petitioner in this regard, has also applied in prescribed format by enclosing all necessary documents for getting refund and also made a representation on 02.08.2014 and since no orders have been passed, he came forward to file this writ petition.
This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for the larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
