Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenu Mayil @ Ragul, son of Elangovan, aged about 27 years, now confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore as per the order of the preventive detention passed by the second respondent under Act 14 of 1982 before this Court and call for the records pertaining to the detention order of the second respondent in C3/D.O/93/2020 dated 30.08.2020 and quash the same and set the detenu at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C3/D.O/93/2020 dated 30.08.2020, detaining her brother as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.4406, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 16.10.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
