ORDER
The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the Family Court, Chennai to take on file the urgent petition in OP.SR.No.2408 of 2026
filed on 21.04.2026 and to consider the same as expeditiously as possible.
2. Heard, M/S.V.Chethana, learned counsel for the petitioner, and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner has filed the said O.P before the Family Court along with an application seeking interim suit injunction. It is submitted that the Court below has not taken the matter on file despite the urgency pointed out the by the petitioner. The urgency arises on account of the that the respondent/husband is presently proceeding before the Famil Court, at Melbourne, Australia, seeking dissolution of marriage without the knowledge of the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner has also referred to proceedings in File No: (P) MLC 14283/2025. The reasons stated by the petitioner appear to be justifiable.
4. In view o the above, the Family Court, Chennai, is directed to take the O.P in OP.SR.No.2408 of 2026 on file forthwith and consider the application for interim injunction on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 30.04.2026, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The petitioner is also permitted to serve notice on the respondent/husband through e-mail, as he is stated to be residing abroad.
