ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Senniappan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.

2. This petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and forward the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 05.07.2012 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

17.06.2014 to the Government of Tamil Nadu seeking consideration from the separation of Nangavalli Panchayat Union from Mettur Taluk.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he being the President of the Nagavalli Panchayat Union submitted a representation to the Salem District Collector, who is the 2nd respondent herein thereby representing that the Nangavalli Panchayat Union need not be separated from Mettur Taluk and if it was separated for inclusion in Edapadi Taluk, the public at large would find it very difficult in all respects. However the said representations are pending consideration before the 2nd respondent. Hence the present writ petition.

4. In the light of the above facts, without going into the merits of the petitioner's contention, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2012 and 17.06.2014 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
