This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.3257 of 2019 on the file of the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. 1/4

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), on instructions, would submit that the trial is almost completed in C.C.No.3257 of 2019 and this Criminal Original Petition has been preferred at the time of arguments.

3. The trial has already been completed and the matter is posted for arguments. However, the petitioner is at liberty to raise all the points which are now raised before this Court as his defence before the trial Court during arguments.

4. With the above observation this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. The trial Court viz., the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, is directed to dispose the case on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the arguments of both sides. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
