Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of Indid praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 4 and 5 to make necessary corrections in the Natham Reigster where, the properties situated in 983/1 measuring an extent of 1800 Sq.meters;and in S.No.985/9 measuring an extent of 55 Sq.Meters were wrongly identified as Natham - (Poramboke) Vacant Land, as per the proceedings issued by the 2nd respondent dated 20.11.2013 and in light of the G.O.Ms.No.808, Government of Tamil Nadu, Revenue Department dated 05.10.1998 and consequently issue patta to the petitioner.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondents 4 and 5 to make necessary corrections in the Natham Reigster where, the properties situated in 983/1 measuring an extent of 1800 Sq.meters;and in S.No.985/9 measuring an extent of 55 Sq.Meters were wrongly identified as Natham - (Poramboke) Vacant Land, as per the proceedings issued by the 2nd respondent dated 20.11.2013 and in light of the G.O.Ms.No.808, Government of Tamil Nadu, Revenue Department dated 05.10.1998 and consequently issue patta to the petitioner.

2. When the case was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner produced a copy of the letter in Na.Ka.No.A2/394/2016 dated 19.12.2016 issued by the fourth respondent, wherein, it is inter alia stated that based on the 2/4

available documents, steps are being taken for issuance of patta to the petitioner. Further, he seeks this Court for issuance of direction to the fourth and fifth respondent to conclude the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A2/394/2016 dated 19.12.2016 within a reasonable time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the fourth and fifth respondent to conclude the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A2/394/2016 dated 19.12.2016 and pass appropriate order(s) in merits and in accordance with law after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
