O R D E R

The petitioners have come forward with this petition to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioners. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the complaint lodged by one K.Muthulakshmi (4th respondent herein) against the petitioners, the 3rd respondent police called the petitioners for enquiry and the 1st petitioner appeared before the 3rd respondent police, namely, the Inspector of Police, Veerapandi Police station, Thirupur and gave a statement that he has paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the said Muthulakshmi and agreed to pay a balance sum of Rs.90,000/- within a period of three months.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioners could be given. If the petitioners are wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, they can very well be summoned by the respondents police, and while doing so, the petitioners shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioners should submit themselves to the respondent police for interrogation and enquiry.

With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
