Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove all the encroachment in the Public street viz. Periyar Street to an extent of 560 Sq. meter in S.No.494/48, Village No.12, Oonamancherry Village, presently Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpet District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed to seek a direction on respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment found on the public street.

2. Learned Additional Advocate-General submits that after surveying the street, if any encroachment is found, the same would be removed after following the procedure as provided under law.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to find out as to whether there exists any encroachment on the public street as alleged by the petitioner, and if so, the same would be removed after complying with the procedure contemplated under law.
