O R D E R

The petitioners gave a complaint dated 01.12.2012 to the respondent police and thereafter filed Crl.O.P.No.30968 of 2012 for a direction to the police to register a F.I.R. This Court in Crl.O.P.No.30968 of 2012 issued the following the directions on 03.01.2013:

"Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to enquire the matter and dispose of the same in the manner known to law. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly."

Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid direction, the petitioners has filed the present Contempt Petition.

2. On instructions, Mrs.P.Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that one Nirmalnathan, H/o.Balakrishnaveni (3rd petitioner herein) gave a complaint to the police with similar allegations, based on which, the police registered a case in Crime No.222 of 2013 and after completing the investigation, have filed a final report in C.C.No.3222 of 2014 in the Court of the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 323, 427 and 506(ii) IPC against one Ketchili and four others.

3. In the opinion of this Court, this amounts to substantial compliance of the orders passed by this Court on 03.01.2013 in Crl.O.P.No.30968 of 2012 and hence, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
