O R D E R

The petitioner / wife seeks transfer of OP.No.497 of 2021 on the file of the IV-Additional Family Court, Chennai to the Family Court, Sivagangai. Transfer is sought for solely on the ground of convenience, since the wife is a resident of Karaikudi in Sivagangai District.

2.Heard Mr.V.Seshachari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Suchit Anant Palande, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.Mr.Suchit Anant Palande, learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the husband is a resident of Chennai and if the proceeding is transferred to the Family Court at Sivagangai, he will be forced to travel to Sivagangai from Chennai for every hearing and the inconvenience caused to him would be more. He would submit that the Original Petition may be transferred to the District Court at Madurai so that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

parties need not appear for every hearing in person. I find some justification in the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondent.

4.Considering the overall circumstances and the convenience of both the parties, OP.No.497 of 2021 pending on the file of the IV-Additional Family Court, Chennai is withdrawn and transferred to the Principal District Court, Madurai to be tried and disposed of in accordance with law. This transfer civil miscellaneous petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
