The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2020 to get the old age pension.

2. The petitioner had applied for her old age pension under Old Age Pension Scheme before the second respondent-Tahsildar, Thirukovilur in application Registration No.403 of 2020 dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

10.02.2020 under G.O.No.73, Finance (Pension) Department dated 22.01.1962 - Annapoorna Rice Scheme and the third respondent had taken up the enquiry. As there was a delay, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader has produced the Proceedings No.9B7A669986688686 dated 10.10.2020 issued by the Special Tahsildar (Social Welfare Scheme), Thirukovilur, as per which, the petitioner was granted Rs.1,000/- per month from 10.10.2020 under the Indira Gandhi National Widow Women Pension Scheme, which is payable to her lifetime. It is stated that the said pension also would be credited to her Savings Bank Account in State Bank of India.

5. As already the pension has been granted to the petitioner in the above proceedings, the same is recorded and the writ petition is closed. No costs.
