ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 03.08.2019 and to pass orders within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.

The grievance of the petitioner is that a major portion of the lands sub divided at Survey No.423, Marakkanam Village, are classified as 'residential type' and the guideline value is fixed on square feet basis. However, certain pockets of lands

in the same Survey Number are classified as 'dry lands' and the guideline value is fixed on the basis of cents. The petitioner made a representation to the respondents to reclassify and fix the guideline value for these lands also on square feet basis. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.

3.

Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first and second respondents submitted that the second respondent will take a decision based on the representation made by the petitioner within the time limit fixed by this Court.

4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent has already forwarded the representation made by the petitioner to the second respondent for taking action and till date, no orders have been passed by the second respondent.

5.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the specific stand taken by the second respondent that he will consider the representation made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
