Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to finalise and publish the panel and promote the petitioner before superannuation on 28.02.2015 pursuant to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent vide Letter No.102678/1040/G30/G301/2013-1 dated 25.06.2014.

The petitioner is presently holding the post of Accounts Supervisor. The next avenue of promotion is Assistant Accounts Officer. The claim made by the petitioner for promotion was not considered earlier on account of the pendency of the writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.13203 of 2014. The said writ petition was disposed of and as such there is no hindrance to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation on 05.02.2015 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

requesting the first respondent to promote him to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer before the date of his retirement. The present request is to direct the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation on merits.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 05.02.2015 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
