This Application has been filed to review the order passed in W.P.No. 3710 of 2026 dated 26.02.2026.
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side.

The learned Senior counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner filed the above Writ Petition challenging the impugned ineligible list of candidates issued by the third respondent dated 22.01.2026. He further submitted that the writ petitioner applied for the post of PG Assistant in Zoology under BC CAT-I (VI) reserved category in pursuant to the notification
issued by the third respondent dated 10.07.2025 and had secured 79 marks; the petitioner's name was short listed for certificate verification as per the notification for backlog vacancies category-I on 27.11.2025; she also attended the certificate verification and when the provisional list was published by the third respondent on 22.01.2026, her name was shown in Serial No.9 of ineligible list of the candidates for the subject Zoology, however, according to the petitioner, since only one post of PG Assistant (Zoology) was earmarked for BC CAT-I (VI) category, backlog vacancy has been sought to be reverted as regular under BC category vacancy and one M.
Rathish / the fourth respondent herein was included in the provisional selection list for the said vacancy since no candidate is available in the Person with Disability [PwD] category, challenging the same, the petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition. He added that this Court has closed the petition on 26.02.2026 on the ground that the petitioner has not reached the zone of consideration as she has only secured 79 marks and the cut off marks for BC category is 88 marks but however, the petitioner is the only candidate under PwD category, whose cut off is 79 marks for which she is entitled for selection under the said category.
G.O.Ms Nos.72, Higher Education (D2) Department, dated 30.04.2013 and G.O.Ms No.266 Higher Education (K2) Department dated 29.11.2019. In response, the learned counsel for the respondent/TRB submitted that the educational qualification obtained by the petitioner is not equivalent.

Considering the submissions made by the learned Senior counsel for the petitioner as the same is in line with the fact that the petitioner is eligible for selection as she was the only candidate called for certificate verification under the BC CAT-1(VI) reserved category for the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology) with 60% visual impairment and also secured 76 marks, this Court allows the Review Application. Consequently, the Writ Petition is restored to file for proper adjudication. Insofar as the educational qualification of the petitioner is concerned, it is left to the Board has to decide as to whether the petitioner's educational qualification is equivalent or not.
5. Registry is directed to restore the Writ Petition on file and list the matter before the appropriate Court.
