This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Letter No.A4/5718/2019 dated 06.10.2020 on the file of the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub Divisional Executive Magistrate, Thiruvannmalai/1st respondent herein.

2. Though notice has been served on the 3rd and 4th respondents and their names have been printed in the cause list, no one appeared on behalf of the respondents 3 and 4 either by person or through pleader.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that as directed by the impugned summon dated 06.10.2020, the petitioners have appeared before the 1st respondent on 09.10.2020.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the 1st respondent is at liberty to issue fresh summons to the petitioners in accordance with law, if any enquiry is pending as against them. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
