ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 309 (4) BNS, in Crime No.144 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is an innocent

person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He also submitted that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner along with other accused had formed as a team and they were watching the passengers who were travelling in the bus with some valuables. Coaccused had planned the entire operations and instructions were given to commit offence. The petitioner had followed the bus when the bus stopped for refreshment, the petitioner and other accused had entered into the bus and committed robbery. Investigation in this case is not completed.

4.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the records. 5.Considering the nature of crime and the fact that investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
