ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. No representation for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The respondent police have filed a Status Report, wherein it is stated as follows in paragraph nos.5 and 6: "5. Further I submit that on 20.03.2015, the accused Anbu @ Anbumani @ (30) S/o Iyyanar, No.35, Porayur road, Valluvanpet, Villiyanur was taken for one day Police custody as per the orders of Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Puducherry. During interrogation in the presence of two independent witnesses, the accused Anbumani not cooperated and reluctant to answer the questions put forth to him. identified by the kidnapped child in the presence of his father/complainant and two Village Administrative Officers and in this regard Identification mahazar was also prepared. After the Police Custody the accused Anbumani was produced before the Hon'ble CJM Court, Puducherry and he was remanded into judicial custody.

6. Further, I submit that as per the voluntary confession statement of accused Sampathkumar, the involvement of one more accused A.Baskaran was disclosed. The accused A.Baskaran is the elder brother of accused Anbu @ Anbumani in this case. He is the man behind for execution of child kidnapping of child in this case. The car used by the accused persons for the kidnapping of child in this case was provided by the said accused A.Baskaran, after taking it from his friend Kavi @ Raja Kavidasan (23) s/o Ilangovan Raji, No.15, Saint Anthony street, Muthialpet, Puducherry of Muthialpet without informing their plan of kidnapping child for ransom in this case."

Since the petitioner is wanted in child kidnapping case, no direction as prayed for can be given. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
