The petitioner has come forward with this petition to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the son-in-law of the petitioner, namely, Ramachandran was convicted for offence under Section 376 IPC and was sentenced to imprisonment. While he was lodged in Cuddalore Prison, he was granted six days emergency leave from 12.01.2015 to 18.01.2015 by obtaining bond from him and the said Ramachandran https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
absconded and thereafter did not return to prison. Therefore, the respondents-police are looking for arresting Ramachandran and in that regard, they are making enquiries with the petitioner. 4.Under such circumstances, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police, and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent police for interrogation and enquiry.
With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
