The learned counsel appearing for the respondent contended that the petition itself has become infructuous, since C.C.No.950/2003 on the file of the learned XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, was disposed of in the year 2014 convicting the accused and an appeal preferred by the accused was also dismissed by the Sessions Court during the year 2017 confirming the conviction and sentence passed by the Trial Court.

2. In view of the same, the petition is dismissed as infructuous.
