This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.SR.No.644 of 2023 arising out of Crime No.325 of 2009 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Vellore.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the respondent Police had already filed the final report and the same has not been taken on file till date. Therefore, he prayed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV to take a decision on the final report filed by the respondent Police.

3. Having regard to the limited nature of the relief sought for in the present petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Vellore to pass appropriate orders on the final report filed by the respondent Police in the above crime number and without any delay preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
