PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take action against the sixth respondent on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2015 in accordance with law.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.
2. Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take action against the sixth respondent on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2015 in accordance with law.
3. The petitioner is the Chairman of the Palladam Municipality. The sixth respondent is the 14th Ward Councillor, who is preventing taking water to the other wards from the water overhead tank in CTC Colony in Ward No.14 to the tanks to be supplied by blocking the pipelines. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint on 30.09.2015 to the respondents 1 to 5. However, no action has been taken and therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. Mr.P. Sanjay Gandhi, Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the fifth respondent and notice to the sixth respondent is dispensed with as this Court is to pass orders directing the third respondent to conduct an enquiry after giving notice to the sixth respondent.
5. Taking into consideration the serious allegations made against the sixth respondent that he is blocking the pipelines, it is appropriate to direct the third respondent to conduct an enquiry after giving notice to the petitioner as well as to the sixth respondent and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2015 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
