Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and take action on the petition dated 08.09.2016 given by the petitioner seeking to initiate action to cancel the enrolment of the second respondent and remove his name from the rolls of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry within a time as fixed by this Court. ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the first respondent to consider and take action on his petition dated 08.09.2016, seeking to initiate action to cancel the enrollment of the second respondent and remove the name of the second respondent from the rolls of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought by the petitioner has become infructuous since the first respondent has taken action on the petition dated 08.09.2016 given by the petitioner. Therefore, he sought permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

3. In view of the submission coupled with an endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
