O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.82 of 2008 on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthangarai as against the petitioners/accused 1 to 8 for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 355 against the 1st and 5th petitioners, under Sections 147, 323 against the 2nd petitioner, under Sections 148, 324 against the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th petitioners, under Sections 147, 506(i) IPC against the 8th petitioner.

2. It is seen that when the matter was posted on 26.03.2014 "For Admission", the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner took an adjournment and the matter was adjourned to 06.03.2019. Thereafter, for the past five years, the learned counsel has not taken any steps to list the matter. It shows that the petitioner has no interest to pursue the matter. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Further it is pending for more than five years without even ordering notice. Now after the lapse of five years period, this petition cannot be considered and this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
