Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the application dated 27.05.2013 of the petitioner and to appoint her in any suitable post befitting to her qualification such as Forest Watcher, Mali etc., on compassionate grounds within a period that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to dispose of her representation dated 27.05.2013.
3.The case of the petitioner is that her husband was working as Plot Watcher and he died on 17.01.2012. On 27.05.2013, she
made representation to the respondents seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, however, the same has not yet been considered. Hence, this writ petition.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has enclosed all the necessary documents along with her representation seeking appointment on compassionate grounds and prayed this Court to give direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2013.
5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the service of the petitioner's husband was not regularized till his death as he was in a supernumerary post and was not appointed in a regular post; and that the petitioner's husband expired before he was selected to the post of Mali. However, he fairly submitted that the respondents would consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in the light of the recent Government Order. 6.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2013 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of G.O.(Ms)No.18, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, Dated 23.01.2020, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
