PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the order passed by the respondent in Roc.No.61133/97/C2 dated 18.08.1997 and quash the same. ORDER
The charge memo dated 18.08.1997 is put under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. Pending the writ petition, the departmental action against the petitioner came to be proceeded with and through a Government Order in G.O.(D) No.439, Municipal Administration & Water Supply Department, dated 20.09.2007, a punishment has been imposed against the petitioner. As such, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved against the order of punishment, it is open to him to challenge the same in a manner known to law, if he had not already done so.
3. With the above liberty, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
