Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to issue a direction to expedite the investigation in connection with the crime No.4 of 2023 and to file a final report within a stipulated time pending on the file of respondent.

O R D E R

Today, the matter is posted before this Court under the caption 'For Being Mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court by an order dated 29.04.2025, disposed the petition with direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report. However, on that date, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the case has been transferred to Neelankarai Police Station and the same has not been recorded. Hence he prayed for necessary direction.

3. Considering the above submissions, the para Nos.4 and 5 of the order dated 29.04.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.13404 of 2025 shall read as follows :- " 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that now the investigation in Crime No.4 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police has been transferred to the file of the All Women Police Station, Neelankarai, Chengalpattu District.

5. Considering the above submissions, the

Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Neelankarai, Chengalpattu District, is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.4 of 2023 and file a final report within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of."

Remaining portion of the order shall remain unaltered. 4.

Registry is directed to carryout the above corrections and issue order copy afresh.
