This writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Certiorarified Mandamus, seeking records relating to the impugned suspension order in R.C.No.790/2025/B, dated 07.03.2025 passed by the third respondent and to permit the petitioner to retire from service on 31.05.2025. The petitioner is working as Village Administrative Officer, Minnal Chittamoor, Madhuranthagam, Chengalpattu District. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has rendered more than thirty years of service. But unfortunately, a complaint alleging payment of bribe was received on 28.02.2025. Consequently, the Inspector of Police, Anti-Corruption Wing, Chengalpattu, registered a FIR in Crime No.3/AC/2025/CP under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.03.2025 and was subsequently Page No.2 of 4
released on bail. He was placed under suspension on the same day, i.e., 05.03.2025. The petitioner is due to retire from service on 31.05.2025. 3.Let the petitioner submit a representation setting out the grounds on which he seeks revocation of the suspension order. Such representation may be submitted within a period of seven working days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If such a representation is submitted, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on or before 31.05.2025, since the petitioner is due to retire from service on attaining the age of superannuation on that date. No further orders are necessary in this writ petition.
