..Respondents Prayer:- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the order of the 2nd Respondent dated 4.3.2016 and to quash the same and to direct the Respondents to reinstate the Petitioner as Secretary of the Society.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the order of the 2nd Respondent dated 4.3.2016 and to quash the same and to direct the Respondents to reinstate the Petitioner as Secretary of the Society.

2. This court heard the learned counsel on either side and also perused the materials placed on record.

3. After some elaborate arguments, the learned counsel for the Petitioner has submitted that even though the impugned order is dated 4.3.2016, suspending the Petitioner for three months, thereafter, the order of extension has not been received by him so far.

4. The learned counsel for the Respondents has submitted that this Writ Petition is not maintainable, as only a revision under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act would arise.

5. As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel for the Respondents, since there is an alternative remedy of filing a review petition available to the Petitioner, this Writ Petition is not maintainable. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed, with a liberty to the Petitioner to move the revisional authority.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected MPs are closed.
