Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to pay the petitioner a sum of Rs.14,08,923/- which is the amount due to be paid by the third respondent as per G.O.Ms.No.111, Higher Education Department, dated 25.5.2010, to the petitioner.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that he was appointed as a Physical Director on 22.11.1985, in the services of the third respondent and after joining the said post, completed the Postgraduate Degree as well as M.Phil and his services were also regularised as Physical Director as on 30.4.1989, and pay was fixed as Rs.550-25-750-EE-30-900 with effect from 1.1.1989. 3.The grievance expressed by the petitioner, is that in terms of G.O.Ms.No.111, Higher Education (C2) Department, dated 25.5.2010, he is entitled to get the revised scale of pay in the Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000 with Additional Grade Pay of Rs.9000/-, and in this regard, has submitted a representation dated 23.7.2015, to the third respondent and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 4.

Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Ms.A.L.Gandhimathi, learned Standing Counsel, who accepted notice on behalf of the first respondent, and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of the second respondent. 5.In light of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the respondents 2 and 3 by enclosing a copy of his earlier representation dated 25.5.2010, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the said respondents, on receipt of the same, are directed to consider it on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders thereon within a period of eight weeks therefrom and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
