O R D E R
Heard Mr.V.T.Srinivasan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.Samundeeswari, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.G.Sivakumar, learned counsel for the Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board.
2. The prayer is for a Mandamus directing the Chairman of the Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board/R1 to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2023 and issue an allotment order for the Plot No.179/1 in No.113,B, Kalyanapuram, 2nd Street, Vysarpadi, Chennai - 600 039 ('property/property in question') which is in her name.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents who acquiesces receipt of the representation (for which an acknowledgement card has also been placed on file) would state that the request involves various factual aspects of the matter that are to be assimilated and decided by the authorities. Thus, while she would assure the Court that R1 will dispose the representation, she would submit that the result of the same would be left to the discretion of the authorities, to be decided in accordance with law.
4. Thus, a Mandamus is issued to R1 to hear the petitioner as well as any other necessary parties, who may be deemed necessary to decide representation Pg.No.2/4
dated 27.02.2023 and dispose the same in accordance with law and on the basis of prevailing Rules, Regulations and Guidelines, within a period of eight (8) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
