O R D E R

The petitioner, after a prolonged wait from 2012 onwards, has come before this Court seeking a direction to the respondent for issuance of passport.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that some other person has got passport with the same particulars as that of the petitioner, but without the photograph of the petitioner and therefore, the matter has been referred to CBCID, Thanjavur.

3. The petitioner has been waiting for more than three and half years. The application has been made on 27.07.2012. He is yet to get response from the respondent.

4. Thus, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the pending application of the petitioner dated 27.07.2012 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
