This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of direction to the first respondent to sanction Educational Loan of Rs.7,50,000/- to the petitioner's son based on the his representation dated 23.04.2018.
It is stated that the petitioner's son has completed his Higher Secondary Course and applied for BSMS Course (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery) for the academic year 2017-18. The petitioner also received a call letter for counselling and was allotted to the second respondent's college in the academic year 2017-2018 for BSMS course. Since the petitioner was unable to pay the fees for his son's education, he has applied for educational loan before the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Since the first respondent has not sanctioned the loan, the petitioner is constrained to file the present Writ Petition . The learned counsel for the first respondent however stated that the educational loan applied by the petitioner's son has been processed and the eligibility amount has been sanctioned in favour of the petitioner's son. It is also stated that the petitioner himself has undertaken before the first respondent that he would withdraw the Writ Petition in case the first respondent sanctions educational loan.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the first respondent / Bank, this Court is of the view that no further order is required to be passed, as the prayer has been acceded . Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
