The learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the Government is considering the issue favourably, pursuant to the representation submitted by the petitioner. In view of the subsequent events, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is withdrawing the writ petition with liberty to approach the Union Territory of Puducherry and the Central Government to redress the grievances. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. In view of the endorsement so made, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
