ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate II, Nagapattinam to complete the Trial of the case in STC No.12 of 2021 pending on his file expeditiously, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that despite the petitioner is appearing before the Trial Court on every hearings, the trial has not been proceeded. Hence, he seeks direction to the learned Trial Judge to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondent.

4. On perusal of the docket order, it appears that the case is at the stage of service pending and the case has been protracted from 10.03.2021 without any valid reasons. Such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate II, Nagapattinam to expedite 2/4

the trial and dispose of the main case in STC No.12 of 2021 on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
