This contempt petition has been filed praying to punish the respondents for the wilful disobedience of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No.17788 of 2023 dated 08.08.2023.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.K 1/4
Veerasekaran, Inspector of Police, Sozhatharam Police Station, Cuddalore District, was present at the time of hearing. An affidavit has been filed. Relevant portions are extracted hereunder:
"7. I respectfully submit that after completion of investigation, the then Sub-Inspector of Police have closed the case as "Mistake of Fact" and served the R.C.S.Notice No.17 of 2023 to the petitioner/defacto complainant and obtained acknowledgement. Thereafter, on 31.01.2024, the then SubInspector of Police filed a final report before the Learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Kattumannarkoil manually and Court R.C.S No.278 /2024 has been assigned. Later registry directed to file final report before e-filing portal and on 17.03.2025 then Sub Inspector of Police Tr.Syed Afzal filed final report through e-filing No vide LTN20220002210C202500075 and the same was taken on file and on 08.10.2025, court RCS Notice was served to Petitioner/Defacto Complainant in person and it has been acknowledged by the same. The above case stands posted on 25.10.2025 for appearance of defacto complainant/petitioner.' 2/4
3. In view of the above, this contempt petition is closed. If the petitioner has any grievance, it is left open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the manner known to law.
