Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Certiorarified Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in No.TNTEU/R/Fresh Application for B.Ed(AI) - returned/2018/1575, and B.Sc.B.Ed/2018/1574 respectively dated 30.07.2018 and quash the same and directing the 2nd respondent to grant Affiliation to the petitioner college for the B.Ed (Additional Intake) course, and B.Sc.B.Ed (Additional Intake) course respectively.

COMMON ORDER The above writ petitions have been filed to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in Nos.TNTEU/R/Fresh Application for B.Ed(AI) - returned/2018/1575 and B.Sc.B.Ed/ 2018/ 1574, dated 30.07.2018, quash the same and direct the 2nd respondent to grant affiliation to the petitioner college for the B.Ed (Additional Intake) course, and B.Sc.B.Ed (Additional Intake) course respectively.
2. When the matters are taken up for hearing today, the Registrar of the University has produced a communication dated 08.05.2019 and the relevant paragraph is extracted below:- " The Inspection Commission which visited the college in its report dated 23.11.2018 stated as follows:
(i) the University may insist the Mass College of Education, Kumbakonam to appoint the required number of teaching faculty immediately for the existing B.Ed & M.Ed Programmes.
(ii) afterwards, the applications submitted by the Mass College of Education requesting for grant of fresh affiliation to offer B.Ed (AI) and B.Sc.B.Ed may be taken up for process, provided if the College of Education appoints required number of teaching faculty for these two programmes and get approval from the university.
The petitioner college if complies with the above requirements the request for grant of affiliation to offer the above courses will be considered."
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that communication dated 08.05.2019 may be recorded and the writ petitions may be closed.
4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner shall comply with the requirements within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, if any application is filed by the petitioner, then the second respondent shall decide the issue within a period of two weeks.
In the result, the above writ petitions are disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
