ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to D.V.A. No.6 of 2014 from the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Avinashi and quash the same.

2. Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.

3.It is seen that Gayathri got married to Seshamanikandan in 2002 and their marriage ran into rough weather. Thereafter, Gayathri has initiated proceedings under the Domestic Violence Act in D.V.A. No.6 of 2014 before the Judicial Magistrate, Avinashi against Seshamanikandan and others, including Selvi, challenging which Selvi is before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for Gayathri submitted that she has no objection for the proceedings in D.V.A. No.6 of 2014 being quashed as against Selvi.

5.Mr.N.Manokaran, learned counsel submitted to this Court, a letter written by Gayathri to him, wherein she has stated that she has no objection for the proceedings being quashed as against Selvi.

6.In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the proceedings in D.V.A. No.06 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Avinashi is quashed as against Selvi alone.
