The petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent/Police to register an FIR on his complaint, dated 27.02.2015 and investigate the matter in accordance with law.

It is seen that the petitioner has lodged his complaint, dated 27.02.2015 to the respondent/Police for registering a case against one M.Kadar Shariff, who was working as Record Clerk in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, situated at No.1, Jenis Road, Panagal Building, Chennai. The learned counsel appearing for petitioner has brought to the notice of this Court, a communication, dated 17.10.2014, issued by the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, wherein, it is stated as under:- " In continuation of this office reference 2nd cited, I wish to inform you that I have submitted a report to Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Chennai, to take department action against Thiru M.Khadar Sheriff, Record Clerk for fraudulent adjustment. Also, I am to inform you that may lodge a Police complaint against Thiru https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
M.Khadar Sheriff, Record Clerk and take criminal action against him for cheating your fimr by purchasing stationery by fraudulent means."

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent/Police submitted that the respondent/Police are awaiting for certain records from the concerned Department. 4.
In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petitions is closed with the following directions:
i) As and when the respondent/Police receive the records from the concerned Department, they are directed to conduct enquiry and proceed further in accordance with law by registering a case by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
