ORDER

Heard Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with the consent of either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2. The petitioners have filed theses writ petitions for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural programme scheduled to be held on 12.11.2015 at Singapuram Nadar Street, Sri Madurai Veeran Koil Vizha by considering the representation dated 26.10.2015.

3. This Court is not inclined to grant any positive direction in this regard, since granting such permission for conducting a cultural programme may result in a law and order situation and it is for the law enforcing agency to take note of the ground realities and act accordingly. Hence, without granting the relief sought for by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, well before the date of programme.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
