This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-Police to file a final report in Crime No.240 of 2023 dated 12.06.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent-Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though F.I.R has been registered in Crime No.240 of 2023 on 12.06.2023, the respondent-Police has neither completed the investigation nor filed a charge sheet before the magistrate concerned. Hence the petitioner is constrained to file this criminal original petition.

4. It is seen from the records that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent-Police registered a case in Crime No.240 of 2023 on 12.06.2023. However, the respondent-Police has not yet filed a final report.

5. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent-Police to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet before the magistrate concerned, within a period of four weeks, preferably on or before 03.07.2025.

6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
