The matter is placed before this Court on the letter received from the Court below, seeking extension of time to complete the proceedings in Spl.Case No.1 of 2019 on the file of the learned Special Judge for Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Villupuram.

2. It is seen that this Court, while disposing the cases in Crl.O.P.No.14836 of 2023 on 11.07.2023, had directed the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of four moths from 11.07.2023. Now, the learned Special Judge for Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act Cases/Chief Judicial Magistrate (FAC), Villupuram, had sent a letter in D.No.359/2023 dated 08.11.2023 sought for extension of time to complete the trial.

3. Considering the reasons and the request made by the learned Special Judge for Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Villupuram, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by three months.

4. Accordingly, the time for disposing the case in Spl.Case No.1 of 2019 on the file of the learned Special Judge for Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Villupuram, is further extended by three months from today.

29.11.2023 Note to office:- The Special Judge, for Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Villupuram, may be apprised of the extension of time forthwith.
