By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property comprised in R.S.No.242/17, measuring 0.02.00 Ares, situated at Vasthrampuravadai Village, Melapappambadi Revenue Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, by considering petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner purchased the punja land comprised in R.S.No.242/5, measuring 0.03 cents, situated in Vasthrampuravadai Village, Melapappambadi Revenue Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, from one Harpramma Gounder through a Sale Deed in Doc.No.1069/1965, dated 03.08.1965 registered on the file of SRO, Sathiyamangalam. Based on the above sale deed and petitioner's 2/5

long term possession Patta No.59 was issued in the name of the petitioner for the property comprised in R.S.No.242/17, admeasuring 0.02.00 Ares. It is further submitted that the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned properties.

3.1. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that in order to have a clear boundary of the site, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 26.03.2025, seeking survey and to demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property and had paid necessary charges. Since the petitioner's representation was not considered by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

On this being pointed out, the learned Government Advocate would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025 and carry out a survey, demarcate the subject property and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2025 and carry out a survey, demarcate the subject property and complete the process 3/5

within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
