By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 23.04.2015 and 06.05.2015, to the 2nd respondent, for transfer to Salem as per G.O.Ms.No.10 Personnel and Administrative Reforms, dated 07.01.1994 and to pass orders.

3. The petitioner entered into service as Sericulture Demonstrator, on 21.02.1979. Subsequently, he got several

promotions. On 19.02.2015, he was promoted as Inspector and posted at Government Seed Farm, Asanoor, Talavadi. The petitioner joined duty, on 23.04.2015. The petitioner's wife is working at Attur. Expressing his family circumstances, the petitioner has made representations to the 2nd respondent, on 23.04.2015 and 06.05.2015, seeking transfer to Salem. Since, the same were not considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4. Mr.C.Vediappan, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representations, dated 23.04.2015 and 06.05.2015, seeking transfer to Salem, is directed to be considered by the 2nd respondent and appropriate orders are passed.

5. Mr.S.Gunasekaran, the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents, has got no serious objection in directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

6. Considering the above submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 23.04.2015 and 06.05.2015, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
