This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent to take action n the F.I.R. No.05 of 2015 dated

12.10.2015, in accordance with law, investigate and to submit final report.

2. A perusal of the affidavit filed along with the petition indicates that the alleging fraudulent disbursement of flood relief in the district of Nagapattinam during the year 2010. The Vigilance & Anti Corruption has taken suo moto complaint after five years and investigation is still pending.

3. The petitioner herein is one who is arrayed as accused in the First Information Report registered on 12.10.2015, seeks the indulgence of this Court to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and submit final report at the earliest.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that so for 85 witnesses have been examined and statements also recorded. The investigation is at the verge of completion. Any event the investigation officer will file the final report within 60 days.

5. Recording the same, the criminal original petition stands disposed of.
