O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct respondent to furnish the details requested in the letter dated 25.01.2024 with respect to the proceedings in F.No. ECIR-41 / CEZO / PMLA / 2010 (VSK) dated 28.02.2014.

2. Mr.N.Ramesh, learned Special Public Prosecutor, based on the instructions given by the respondent would submit that the Enforcement Directorate has addressed a file to Sub Registrar, SRO, Anna Nagar, Chennai, seeking certain documents. It is made clear that no attachment of any property, belonging to the petitioner, has been made. That being so the institution of the present writ petition became unnecessary. In the event of initiation of any action, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the authority by following the due procedures as contemplated.

3. Mr.N.Ramesh would further contend that the file relating to letter dated 28.02.2014, addressed to Sub Registrar, SRO, Anna Nagar, Chennai has been closed.

4. Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
