ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 24.6.2013, 18.9.2013, 14.11.2013, 20.12.2013 and 8.9.2014 all sent by the petitioner and pass orders for disbursing the remaining amount lying in Tamil Nadu Government Employees Provident Fund cum Gratuity Scheme of the petitioner, within a stipulated time.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that as per the Sixth Pay Commission constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the petitioner was given benefits and based on the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission, arrears amount was accumulated into his account. According to the petitioner, the balance amount of 60% is not paid to him till now, inspite of several representations made by him.

3. Mr.Bose, learned counsel, takes notice for the respondents and submits that the second respondent may be directed to consider the representations of the petitioner and pass orders within the stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to consider the representations dated 24.6.2013, 18.9.2013, 14.11.2013, 20.12.2013 and 8.9.2014 given by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. The connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
